What I'm Making: Native Beaded Pendant Necklace
Whenever I'm out shopping for crafty things, I always try to look for the interesting things you don't see everyday.

This beaded pendant has been sitting in my craft drawer for a while. But I remember finding it all by its lonesome in the clearance section at Michael's. If there had been more I would have gotten them all. I'm actually not even sure if it is a pendant, but it works perfectly as one.

What I'm Making: Broken Ornament Earrings
Have you ever unpacked all your beautiful Christmas decorations, excited to start decorating your tree, just to find that a few have broken. That happened to us this year. Luckily, the one that broke wasn't a favorite.
Not to let it go to waste, I decided that it would be perfect to make earrings out of.

What I'm Making: Structured Crop Top Copy
On vacation this summer I had the pleasure of stopping into Nordstrom for a quick shopping adventure. For many of you I assume that going to Nordstrom is not that big of a deal, but I had never been to one before. Now, this was at the height of the crop top fad and I sifted through racks and racks of them. I finally settled on this one:

I fell in love with it because of its beautiful fabric and interesting structured quality. The real reason for this post, though, is that I decided to recreate it. Me, boredom, and extra fabric always ends in a big sewing mess.

What I'm Making: Camera Bag Insert
Back to school has been very crazy, as I assume it has been for almost everyone. My semester has gotten off to a pretty good start, though. I even have a couple fun classes. The one I am most excited about is a digital photography course.
I got my camera several years ago, but until recently it was homeless without a camera bag. I knew I wanted something nice, not a traditional camera bag. I came across a black faux-leather studded bag at H&M that would fit my camera perfectly and knew that I had found the bag.

But, I thought my camera would probably need a little more protection.

What I'm Making: Vintage Inspired Bracelets
I love all things vintage. I would much rather go to an antique shop than the mall.
A lot of my jewelery is vintage, whether I picked it up somewhere or was given it by my grandmother. I used components from vintage jewelery to create these two new bracelets.

What I'm Making: Patch Pocket Shorts
I have been thinking of ways to expand things on my blog away from just DIY tutorials. I make so many more things than what I post in tutorials, many late at night or during non-optimal photo taking time. Or things that are so easy you don't need a tutorial. I am always inspired to make things I see in photos that I find around the internet, and not necessarily in tutorials. So I've decided to add a new section called "What I'm Making", in hopes that the photos I post will inspire you! So here it goes!
This summer I realized that I needed more shorts, well... more fashionable shorts. And jean shorts have never been more fashionable, especially cutoffs.
